Frequently Asked Questions

What is Guitarzapoppin?

Guitarzapoppin (Beta)... is a user-driven news and information service for the guitar business. You're in charge (sort of). You're the author, contributor, writer, editor... all that and more, right here and right now on Guitarzapoppin.

What kind of articles or content can I submit to Guitarzapoppin?

Guitarzapoppin may only be used for submitting relevant and appropriate content related to guitar. Any other content may and most likely will be removed and violating member accounts may be deleted and banned. We know that sounds harsh, but it has to be that way. Some people just don't play by the rules. Some examples might include:

• Blog Posts
• News Articles
• Press Releases
• Product Reviews
• Informational Content (instruction, technical, etc)
• Content from other guitar-related websites
• Other guitar-related content from non-guitar-related websites
• And plenty of other stuff we haven't listed here

Just keep this rule of thumb in mind... Your submission must be published somewhere on the Web, and it just has to be relevant and appropriate. The rest is up to you... and we're here to help you.

How can I submit a story?

You can use the “Submit Your News” button at the top of the sidebar to recommend either your own guitar-related articles or content, or other guitar news and information you’ve found and want to share with other guitar enthusiasts.

IMPORTANT: New (first) submissions go into moderation automatically. Once approved by one of our moderators, your future submissions will appear on the site without needing approval.

I submitted an article/content, so why is it not showing up?

If it’s the first article/content* you’ve submitted to Guitarzapoppin, then your submission will be pending moderation. Once one of our moderators approves it (we’re automatically notified by email), it will appear on the Latest page. From then on, all stories you submit will go straight into Latest without anymore need for approval from the moderators. This is a necessary measure to prevent spam. In the case your story doesn’t appear, it is possible that it was considered spam, not appropriate or guitar-related content, or otherwise against the Terms of Service. Please contact us for further clarification.
(*or subsequent content until the first one is approved)

Why did my comment disappear?

The most likely reason for your comment not showing is that it went into a moderation queue and needs to be approved by a moderator.

How big can my description be?

Guitarzapoppin will truncate your description to a maximum of 200 characters on the listing pages. The system will block very large submissions of text. Keep your description brief and to the point for best performance... generally under 500-600 characters. You can add a maximum of 3 links to your description, however clicking the title link on the summary page of any post will take you to the original content web page (i.e. yourwebsite.com/story).

I have other questions, what do I do know?

We'll be adding more here during our Beta launch period but until then you can also ask a question directly by contacting us.
